The Engineering Building is the second building to be constructed on Cape Fear Community College’s North Campus.  The building contains approximately 115,000 square feet on two floors. The following programs will be housed in this new facility: Architectural Technology, Computer Engineering Technology, Electronics Engineering Technology, Industrial Maintenance Technology, Interior Design, Machining Technology, Mechanical Engineering Technology and Welding Technology.

Design and Development for the University of North Carolina at Wilmington include a variety of projects throughout the years. In addition to dorm reconstruction and design, our engineers created the structural plans for the Cameron School of Business, the Center for Marine Science Research Pier and adminstration building, archway to education and the UNCW Clock Tower.

John R. Andrew, P.E. completed the structural design of the Schwartz Student Center for Cape Fear Community College in 2000. The Center incorporates a 500-seat gymnasium, classrooms and office space.

ACE, P.C. has provided structural design and overall project management on numerous projects for General Electric Nuclear Energy and Global Nuclear Fuel in Wilmington, NC. These projects involve new office buildings, renovations of existing space and modifications to existing industrial facilities.

Hammocks Beach State Park - Visitor's Center & Bath House

ACE, P.C. provided the structural design of the Hammocks Beach State Park Visitor's Center & Observation Pavilion near Swansboro, North Carolina in 2003. ACE is currently providing project management on facility upgrades to the park - including new accessible piers, kayak launches, bulkheads and a boat-launching ramp.

The visitor's center serves as the park admin office, a welcome center and education facility focused on introducing students to the life history of sea turtles and other marine animals. The observation pavilion on Bear Island includes 520 linear feet of piers and elevated walkways, and restroom facilities for campers, anglers and boaters.

The restoration of Crystal Pier has been in the works since an engineer’s report last year recommended the pier either be repaired or destroyed. The eastern portion of the pier, battered by hurricanes and storms since the mid-1990s, has deteriorated steadily since its closure in 1996, losing pilings and planks.
