Mitch Taylor joined ACE as a project engineer intern in May 2010. His responsibilities include the analysis and design of low to midrise buildings, marine construction and the structural evaluation and repair of existing buildings and marine structures.
Prior to Andrew Consulting Engineers, Mr. Taylor served as a design engineer intern for Areva NP in Charlotte. He worked as part of a team to prepare large design change packages for TVA. He created and verified calculations for steam generator replacement including reactor coolant system piping and temporary steam generator supports.
Mr. Taylor also served as a research assistant throughout his college career including research for high-strength geopolymer for advanced structural applications and cold weather soil stabilization beneath highways. During that time, he served as Senior Class Vice-President of the College of Engineering, editor/member for the Chi Epsilon Honor Society, the student chapter editor of the American Society of Civil Engineers and was a charter member of the Charlotte Green Initiative.
